Terms of Service – Alberta Future Art Collective
1. Agreement to Terms
By registering with or using the Alberta Future Art Collective’s platform, you agree to abide by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Alberta Future Art Collective (“we,” “us,” or “our”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services.
2. Membership and Account
- Registration: Members can register for free to access limited features. Paid memberships unlock additional benefits.
- Eligibility: You must be 18 years or older to register. By joining, you confirm that all information provided is accurate.
- Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. Paid Membership
- Fees: Paid membership costs $9/month, billed annually ($108 per year). Membership fees are non-refundable.
- Payment Processing: Payments are securely processed through Stripe. We do not store any financial information.
- Renewals: Your membership will automatically renew annually unless canceled.
4. Use of Platform
- Profile Creation: Members can create a profile to showcase their artwork.
- Content Responsibility: You retain ownership of your content but are solely responsible for ensuring it complies with all applicable copyright laws.
- Automated Posts: If you link your Instagram account, our AI may generate posts based on your public content.
- User Conduct: You agree not to post content that is offensive, illegal, or violates the rights of others.
5. Responsibilities of Members
As a member of the Alberta Future Art Collective, you agree to:
- Witness Artwork Certification: Act as a witness to certify the creation of artwork upon request, either via Zoom or in person. This is a voluntary, unpaid responsibility.
- Participate in Voting: Vote on collective decisions, such as art submissions, through electronic or in-person methods as requested.
- Host Educational Events: Conduct at least one seminar, webinar, workshop, or course per year to share knowledge. You may charge an entry fee to cover material costs but not for profit.
- Contribute to Charity: Donate artwork or participate in charitable activities when called upon.
- Liability: Take full responsibility for your art and any agreements or transactions resulting from platform interactions. The collective is not liable for disputes or issues arising from such dealings.
6. Liability Disclaimer
- The Alberta Future Art Collective does not take responsibility for disputes, damages, or issues resulting from transactions or agreements made between members or third parties.
- You use the platform at your own risk. We are not liable for loss, theft, or damage to your artwork or intellectual property.
7. Privacy Policy
Your privacy is important to us. By using our platform, you consent to the collection and use of your information as outlined in our Privacy Policy. We do not share your personal information with third parties without your consent.
8. Termination of Membership
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your membership if you violate these Terms.
- You may cancel your membership at any time, but no refunds will be provided for unused periods of a paid membership.
9. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. Your continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Alberta, Canada. Any disputes will be resolved in the jurisdiction of Alberta.
